who hired the weatherman?

The NYTimes told me that it would be a high of 80 degrees today. Ok, that sounds too good to be true, so I figured it would be like 75 degrees or something. When I left my apt, I just knew that clouds, greyness, and cold would burn off. When someone at work commented that I was brave to be wearing a skirt, I shrugged it off. Why? Because it was going to be another nice Indian summer day!

Nope.

Damn you San Francisco. Why can’t you just be warm for once in your life? Yes, I realize I am contradicting my excitement for warm weather yesterday. Sad. That, and perhaps the weatherman for the NYTimes shouldn’t be predicting weather for SF. :p Did you know when I was at Northwestern I actually looked into buying battery heated socks because I knew Chicago would be freezing? If you care, they’re around $40 + and you have to strap this clunky battery pack around your shins. Needless to say, I dealt with the numb toes.

i am officially lazy

So today, I had to stay at work until *gasp* 7pm and take work home too, so I was quite grumpy about it. But then I put everything in perspective and realized that so many of my friends get out at 7 normally, if not much later. I always say I want to move to NYC, but then little things such as getting out at 5:30ish normally — or…the random spurts of sunny happy weather…that make me reconsider. That was really bad grammar. It’s ok though, I spent a million hours today writing documents with appropriate grammar so I’m allowed to make up my own. Rules, right? now. hehe :)

This entry is dedicated to my friend in black, who influenced me to start a blog. It’s all about word of mouth ;p

Hello world!

Oh this is so exciting…welcome to my blog! I’m so excited I don’t know what to write. :D I’ll get rid of the pressure to write amazing, enriching content for the first entry by waiting until tomorrow to write the second. No expectations.
